Adopt a Trail Head

The Adopt a Trail Head program is intended to create a relationship between the the following groups in a Stewardship partnership.

- Public that lives in the area of a trail head
- Individual that frequent a trail head
- Dishman Hills Natural Area Association (DHNAA)
- Spokane County Parks and Recreation

As the Trail Heads are the outside public view to this wonderful area, it is important that they are maintained and cared for. Members that are involved in adopting a specific trail head would work directly with the DHNAA in the following areas:

- Report vandalism to DHNAA and Spokane County Parks
- Keep area free from trash
- Refill doggie bag dispencers
  * DHNAA will provide refill bags
- Volunteer to empty trash that gathers at trail head (Dog Cans)
- Provide ideas to the DHNAA on area improvements
- Restock brochure boxes as needed
  * DHNAA will provide as needed
- Help maintain kiosk and fencing in good visual order
  * DHNAA will provide approved wood stain as needed

In short, we need the communities help to be our eyes and ears to ensure the trail heads reflect the value of what is beyond them.
