DISHMAN HILLS CONSERVANCY
Celebrating 60 Years (1966-2026)
Come explore the new Ponderosa Springs Trail while helping a Scout toward completion of his Eagle Scout Project.
You help is needed for a short time, about midway on the new Ponderosa Springs Trail to haul boards, wire, and tools about 1/2 mile to the building site.
We have a local Boy Scout workingn on his Eagle Scout Project. He is building a fence for the Dishman Hills Conservancy and we could use some help with hauling the materials to the project site.
We are putting up a small fence at the end of the Cliffs trail and beginning of the Keystone trail, in the Phillips Creek area, to let people know the area they are entering is under the rules of the Natural Area (no bikes, no horses) . He will be driving in about halfway with the material and tools, but he will need help carrying the materials about a half mile along the new Ponderosa Springs trail to the end of the Cliffs trail.
The plan is to get as many people as possible and just make one trip. Walk in is about 1/2 mile to the truck and 1/2 to the work site. The distance you will carry material is the 1/2 mile from the truck to the worksite.
Gloves will be provided. After we reach the worksite, your free to continue your hike through the Keystone Trail, back along the Cliff Trail, or back along the Ponderosa Trail. You can enjoy the view along the way.
We will be starting from the Phillips Creek trail head at 12:00 noon on Sunday October 25th. If you can help out or know others who can help, please let me know. Thanks.
